Annual New Mecca Feed & Fundraiser 2023

Entertainment provided by the Choir and Jazz Band

For over 20 years, on the first Monday in February, the Bristow Music Program has held one major fundraising event to support this fantastic program of over 500 students, almost half the entire school! It is an amazing evening with good food prepared by the New Mecca Mexican restaurant and great music provided by our award-winning jazz band and choir. The evening holds both live and silent auctions, countless raffle baskets and we are constantly adding new ideas and entertainment to the fun and excitement of it all.

100% of the proceeds are used to support all of our music students, the band director Mr. Morello, and the entire Bristow Music Program, as well as our amazing Bristow Middle School. Your generous donations help with everything from the smallest of items such as reeds and other instrument supplies for students who can’t afford them, to sheet music, new instruments and instrument repairs, bus transportation and competition entrance fees and much, much more. Every penny goes directly and immediately back into the program.

The Bristow Music Program is not only the largest middle school music program in the state of California but has also maintained a level of excellence that is largely unmatched. In order to continue to thrive, we rely on the support from our local and extended communities, and we are incredibly grateful to all of our donors and sponsors

Where will it be held?

The majority of the event wil be held in the school gym.  This year there will be an option to eat outside.

How can I help?

Join our Mecca Committee!  If you are interseted in helping the boosters plan and execute this event, please contact us at  This is an opportunity for parents and families to contribute some of their time without committing to an entire year of help.  Our next Mecca Committee meeting will be Wednesday, January 11th at 6pm via Zoom.  The link will be sent upon request.


Your tax deductible donation(s) can be made in a variety of forms such as services, gift certificates/cards, merchandise, and monetary donations.  We accept any monetatry doantion, however, we have several sponsorship option available.  Please contact us if interested.


Do you own a business? This is a great opportunity to donate a service your business provides and self-promote at the same time! Donations such as this can be included in raffle baskets or serve as auction items.  In some cases, your business may be able to provide a service that can helkp us with the planning and execution of the event.

Gift certificates/Cards

We create countless raffle baskets that are stuffed to the brim.  We look for a variety of tiems to create such baskets.  Gift certificates/cards are an easy donation that can easily fit into any raffle basket we create!


Please consider donating any new/unopened merchandised to the boosters.  These items are al used to enhance the raffle baskets we create. Merchandise can be given to Mr. Morello in the band room, and our boosters will collect those donations on a regular basis as we move forward with planning.
